stirewalt. thanks so much. have a great week. >>> the obama administration says its health care website should now work for the vast majority, there's that word again, of americans. there are still plenty of errors being reported. like peter dfound out. what did you find out? >> a lot more problems to healthcare.gov than on amazon, gretchen. all morning long healthcare.gov is having major issues. they appear to be the result of high volume. the administration said this week, as you know, 50,000 users are supposed to be able to simultaneously shop at healthcare.gov. mo most of my attempts to log in or apply for coverage today have been met with this notice. there are too many visitors at the website. there is an option to enter an e-mail for a follow up about better times to come back. i first entered my e-mail 11:40 this morning, about 2 1/2 hours ago. still waiting for that note back. take a look at this. just complete gibberish. on the first screen that an interested consumer would see after leaving the home page, this shot i took at my desk just a little bit more than one hour ago. t

, marjorie, a former consultant to the obama campaign. thanks for joining us this morning. marjorie, i think most people understand in a bad economy a lot of people trying to live off fast food worker wages very tough, sympathetic to the idea of raising their wages. when workers get too expensive businesses replace workers. so we will see automated ordering, won't we, at fast food places? >> look, in order to raise any kind of salary you're obviously going to -- or any kind of wage you're going to have to change the business model a little bit. it means things will cost a little more, there will have to be a shift in the workers. you have to look at the long-term outcome. you pay workers more in the long run, end up with more americans which can spend pore money which grows businesses and our economy having these low wage workers puts on our systems like social security and medicaid, we end up paying almost $900 billion to bank tellers alone, low wage bank tellers, to subsidize their living. we pay for it one way or the other. >> that's an interesting point, michael. what's your response? in

down. >> thank you very much. >>> it's not just young people. president obama is also trying to convince a number of state insurance commissioners to get on board with the plan to extend the canceled plans, at least for a year. ben nelson, former democratic senator, who supported the health care law. now he probably has a more importance function these days as the head of the national association of insurance commissioners. they all recently met with the president, at least key people, yourselves included. you were telling me it's split among -- >> well, 23 states where the commissioners and/or the legislatures and governor have decided to go along with the president's recommendation or his suggestion that the coverage be extended. 23 states have decided that they either don't have the authority or it would be inappropriate based on what laws have been passed in their state because -- in some instances, they passed a law saying that people had to get in to the plan, and so they are getting into the plan -- >> a f they break from their own law. so for those 23 -- the others ar
. >> ambassador, thank you so much. >> heads may be starting to roll in the wake of the disast rg rollout of obama care. a top maryland official in charge of that state's obama care exchange is reportedly resigning now. and this would be the first official to lose a job in light of the troubles surrounding the insurance exchanges. national correspondent steve sun somy joins me now from washington with more on the story. >> not only the federal obama care website that had its difficulties. some sof the state-run exchanges got off to a rocky start. rebecca pearce resigned friday. according to our affiliate in baltimore, some are suggesting she was forced out of office after two years on the job. in maryland, they signed up just over 3,000 people by november 23rd, and about a week later, only about 7,000 more had been signed up. the goal by the end of march is 150,000, so clearly, there's a long way to go. the lieutenant governor is saying things clearly did not go as planned with that website. >> everyone involved in launching the exchange is responsible, and that includes me. >> as for the federal
